This project started with a pretty simple question:

How did some random person find my Minecraft server?

The Incident

This summer, I was playing Minecraft (java edition) with some friends on a server I was hosting from my desktop PC. Since I couldn’t port-forward on my network, I was using playit.gg to create a tunnel to the server. (My internet connection was provided through a 4G LTE modem, which made port forwarding impossible.)
